Clutch 21 - Housing
They are called because of their hemispherical shape, the clutch or gearbox bell. You look at that in this case transversely mounted transmission and the from the axle drive coming flange for the right drive shaft,
which is located behind the transmission in direction of travel. The transmission housing is made of aluminum.
In this view can still be seen:
- the flange for the starter at the transmission side,
- the lack of bearing of the transmission shaft in the crankshaft,
- the bearing for the transmission output shaft.
